| Terminator in Prescott 1 Year, 11 Months ago | Karma: 18 | Has anyone heard anything on the size of the tournament this year. I really hope AZ will represent well and this turns out to be bigger and better than last year. We really need multi-state tournaments like this to be successful here in AZ so they will keep happening. I have just not heard much talk on this tournament so am hoping it is a good one.
Any thoughts or news? Maybe a list of the clubs going to it, or number of kids registered.
Thanks. |

| Re:Terminator in Prescott 1 Year, 11 Months ago | Karma: 18 | I do agree on that. It really makes it hard on some parents and kids to have to get out of school and take off work to drive 5 or more hours just to weigh in. Than have to pay an extra night at a hotel when they have family in PHX they could have stayed at. Just like HS state, all the venues in PHX area and they have to use Prescott. Nothing against Prescott jsut not very convenient. Hopefully, the tourney will be worth it. |

Thanks.
I just finished speaking to one of the senior coordinators for the RMN Terminator event. Based on registration, they are easily going to surpass the past Terminator record attendance. They already have a record number of wrestlers pre-registered for Saturday's event. Actual number should of registered wrestlers is close to 700. He also assured me that the event will not be repeat scenario of last year's late into the night finish and medal distribution, given their venue and number of mats, and hired supporting staff and refs.
There will not be "day prior" satellite weigh-ins this year. It sounds like an excellent idea to do that maybe in a Phoenix metro location, inTucson, and in Flagstaff for next year. Hopefully they will consider that recommendation, which would certainly increase their number of participants for next year, should they continue with their Prescott venue. |

I already had an 18 year old sign up thinking there was an open division just to find out there wasn't and he's out the registration fee since there are no refunds...,.I know, hence the K-12 wording, just thought I read open division in fine print. |
