Coaches as the season nears, we are offering a great way to see how well in shape some of your wrestlers are in. It is also a great way to have your team bond, as well as have a great time! And plus, the event is FREE! Please read the info below.

2010 NAVY SEAL FITNESS CHALLENGE
THERE IS NO ENTRANCE FEE FOR THIS EVENT
*This is now an all ages family event and anyone can compete. Release forms need to be signed for any competitors to participate.

VOLUNTEERS NEED TO BE AT THE ARCHER CENTER BY 7 AM 9-18-10
Snack bar will have items for sale at the ARCHER CENTER.
Event # 1
SWIM
• 500-yard swim (20 laps) using breast and/or sidestroke in less than 12 minutes and 30 seconds
• Swimmers will be placed 1 or 2 per lane and there are 9 lanes.
• Waves of 9 or 18 participants at a time will be swimming at once.
• Strong swimmers will be placed in the deep end and novice swimmers will be in the shallow end of the swimming pool.
• All swimming abilities are welcomed.
BREAK (10-minute rest)
• Athletes will transition and put on running shoes, drink water and walk to the Archer Center parking lot to prepare for the run. All participants that swam together will be running together.
Event # 2
RUN
Run 1 ½ miles, run time needs to be under 11 minutes
• Runners will all start in their waves that they swam in.
• Follow course for the 1.5 mile run around Cholla High School and the finish line is at the Archer Center.
• Time stops when you cross the finish line.
• Your time will be written down on your time card and then go to the push-up station.
BREAK (10-minute rest)
Event # 3
Archer Center Basketball Court
• Competitors will pair up, keep track of each others count for the 2 minute time limit and record their results on their time cards.
• Station #1 Perform a minimum of 42 push-ups in 2 minutes
• 2-minute rest
• Station #2 Perform a minimum of 50 sit-ups in 2 minutes
• 2-minute rest
• Station #3 Perform a minimum of 6 pull-ups (no time limit)
• 2 min. for pull-ups
When finished with these three events go to the completion table and turn in your time card, find your name on the competitor list and you will receive your free NAVY SEAL CHALLENGE T-shirt.
Thank you for your participation. Only high school athletes will recieve a t-shirt.
