Joe Locke from Verrado was beaten kinda bad by Gabe Gomez from Cactus and had a mystery injury (wink wink) that prevented him from continuing. Rumor also was that Sierra Linda's HW (shoulda been #1 seed) also had one of those mystery injuries after suffering losses in a previous tourney and didnt make the trep. Sounds like hurt pride to me. Also, where in the heck is McQueen from Tempe and Cook from Mohave? HW kid from Tempe upset Youngker HW in the semis and took 2nd. He wins the "came outta nowhere" award. |

As far as Sierra Lindas' HW, coach said he had a couple of cracked ribs and was a no go.. The Tempe kid beating Youngker was a nice little upset, I haven't seen Tempe at all so not sure about McQueen but their HW was pretty tough...Tempe kid got pinned in Championship by A. Blaney from Greenway. |
